My Lan's STORY
Our
STORY
My Lan Vietnamese Kitchen, the classic Haltom City restaurant that has amassed a loyal following since its debut in 1996, opened a second location in Colleyville 9/24/2019. For owners of the Colleyville location, Lan Trinh and Thu Pham, starting this restaurant is meaningful because it’s been their life long dream to open their own business and sharing a taste of Vietnamese culture and food to Colleyville. “We decided to open a new location to offer customers in the surrounding Dallas/Fort Worth area the amazing food and service at My Lan Restaurant,” says Trinh. “ We hope that people come to our restaurant for authentic home-style Vietnamese favorites suchas phở beef noodle soup, rice dishes, vermicelli, and traditional Vietnamese egg rolls as well as popular boba tea drinks.”
Since
2019
The new My Lan Vietnamese Kitchen, which will have a
condensed version of the first location’s menu, will serve authentic Vietnamese dishes such as phở,
bún/vermicelli, rice plates, and noodle dishes known as hủ tiếu and mì. “We are keeping our most popular
dishes on the menu, using the same recipe that my mother passed on to me,” says Lan. Appetizers include rice paper egg rolls and spring rolls served with
peanut dipping sauce. Phở dishes, from beef phở to chicken phở, are served hot with a side of fresh mint,
cilantro, basil, bean sprouts, limes, and sliced chili peppers. Bún/vermicelli bowls are prepared with varied cuts of grilled pork, shrimp with tofu skin, and egg rolls
on top of noodles, mixed mints, lettuce, cucumbers, pickled radish, and carrots. Classic Vietnamese rice plates are made with grilled marinated meats as well as crispy shrimp with tofu skin. Rice and egg noodles are cooked with ingredients such as shrimp, crab, and BBQ pork.
